Founded in February 2002 Creative Cauldron celebrates its 15th birthday this month! It has been a long journey and we are thankful to all of those who have traveled this road with us. We began in 2002 with our Summer Camps and continued to expand on our educational programming until we moved into our permanent home at ArtSpace Falls Church in 2009 and launched our theatrical productions.
Now, nine of our productions have received Helen Hayes Awards © Recommendations: Nevermore, Cole Porter: You're the Top!, Thunder Knocking on the Door, Marry Me a Little, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, The Turn of the Screw, Once on This Island, The World Goes 'Round and Monsters of the Villa Diodati. We've also received 7 Helen Hayes Awards nominations for Jacques Brel, The Turn of the Screw, and Once on This Island. Jacques Brel actor Alan Naylor won the 2015 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical (Helen Production).
We now serve 12,000 patrons each year with our educational programs and theatrical productions while remaining committed to our mission to keep the arts "affordable and accessible."
