Learning Theater and Musical Theater Ensembles
at Creative Cauldron Stage
Our Learning Theater Ensemble is an inclusive, multi-generational program that provides elementary (grades 3 and up) and middle school students the opportunity to team up with our professional actors and directors to learn the craft of acting. Up to 30 students will enjoy an 8-week workshop, in which they will develop and rehearse an original adaptation of a children's classic (The Emperor's New Clothes/Fall, complete with original music and choreography. Scripts are developed in both Spanish and English as an added learning opportunity for the students. Their skills will be honed during a 12-performance run of the show, which is open to the public and the press! This workshop is a great adventure for any student who has the acting bug and is ready for a real theater experience.
Our Musical Theater Ensemble is a unique training program for serious students who've had prior performance experience and are ready to be in a professional show (Often Helen Hayes Awards eligible). Enrollment is by invitation or audition. Ensemble members receive extra coaching during master classes in acting, singing and dance in addition to the Madeline rehearsals. Our Winter Musical Theater Ensemble performs in our annual "Madeline's Christmas" holiday production which has become a Creative Cauldron Stage classic!
Because of the larger commitment of these projects, enrollees must have prior Creative Cauldron or other performance experience, or have participated in our Learning Theater Studio classes or camps. Not sure? Ask us at [email protected].
