Concessions and Usher Volunteers
WE WELCOME VOLUNTEERS!!! In appreciation for concessions and usher volunteer service, our volunteers are given one (1) complimentary ticket each and must be used for the performance worked. As seating for volunteers will be assigned, volunteers wishing to work in pairs/couples and/or wanting to be seated with specific paid guests during a performance must contact us at least 24 hours BEFORE reporting for duty to inquire about additional volunteer slots or a requested change to our predetermined seating assignments. Unless otherwise stated, all Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Concessions volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and must fully comply with ABC laws, regulations and requirements.

Volunteer Ushers must be on site and ready to assist at least 1 hour before the performance. Our ushers are an integral part of our pre-performance operations and perform a variety of tasks leading up to show time.

- Stand for as long as one hour in the lobby outside the performance space
- Provide patrons with information in a friendly and assistive manner
- Help assemble programs and hand them out to patrons as necessary
- Assist all patrons, including those have accessible needs with finding and occupying seats.
- As applicable, Ushers will ensure that all patrons present a standard ticket (with stub) before entering the theater.
- Ushers should alert Creative Cauldron staff immediately should any emergency arise in the theater (ie. patron accident, or injury, etc.
Volunteer Concessions Worker must be on site and ready to assist at least 1 hour and 15 minutes before the performance.

- Clean the Concessions bar/area Sweep before opening the bar
- Sell refreshments and snacks to patrons paying with either cash or card (training provided)
- Use our our system to electronically records sales (training provided)
- Work behind a concessions bar (requires standing, bending, reaching and stooping, etc)
- Make correct change for patrons paying with cash and maintain accountability for the concessions bank
- Prepare alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and caffeinated beverages for patrons (training provided)
- Ask any patron who might be under age to present an official ID before serving them any alcoholic beverages. Don't guess. When in doubt. ASK
- Refuse alcoholic beverages to those who are intoxicated
- Continue concessions duties during intermissions
Administrative / Special Activity / Project Volunteer
CREATIVE CAULDRON IS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO BE A PART OF OUR SPECIAL ACTIVITIES/PROJECTS!! We need volunteers willing to help with season opening nights, special events and/or administrative tasks. Opening night and special event duties include, but are not limited to: activity planning, bartending, serving food, collecting donations, managing donation items, set up and/or clean up helpers. Administrative duties include such things as helping with mass mailings, categorizing inventory, updating databases, general office work, etc. We need all around good spirited folks!! In appreciation for volunteer services provided, we will give the special activities/project volunteer one (1) complimentary ticket to a performance. In the event we are unable to accommodate the performance date and/or time of choice, the Patrons Relations Manager will work with the volunteer to identify seating availability for another performance. Volunteer Special Events Coordinator
Creative Cauldron is looking for a special events coordinator. This is a volunteer position which will work with the Development Director on all aspects of event planning and management.
Duties and Responsibilities. The special events coordinator will: 1)Create event proposals which support specific campaign goals or fundraising targets, 2) Coordinate online and offline promotion of event, 3) Assist with negotiation contracts for events, including venue booking, food/beverages, audio visual support and event signage, 4) Act as primary point of contact with vendors for all event-related matters, 5) Assist with on-site management of event, including set-up, tear-down and supervision of volunteers where applicable
Qualifications
Event planning/management or project management experience
Ability to balance multiple priorities within tight deadlines Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Works well independently and as a team
Time Period
This position requires an average of 5 hours per week. Evening and weekend availability required for certain events.

This position provides valuable experience for event planning and management students; individuals with an interest in gaining experience in the non-profit sector or in the arts, and anyone with a passion for providing and promoting professional theatrical and musical artistic experiences. Volunteers are highly valued members of Creative Cauldron’s circle and contribute to our mission of making the arts accessible and affordable.
Creative Cauldron will provide reference letters for all volunteers who successfully complete a placement.
