Arts Adventure Camps 5 years - 13 years Campers Grouped by Age After Care 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM |
Creative Cauldron’s Summer Camps incorporate drama, music, movement and visual art following a designated theme. Campers work with professional teaching artists with extensive experience in their fields and explore folklore, myth and art associated with each theme. Each camp session culminates with a final dramatic presentation and an art show of camper’s work.

Tales of Thunder, Tales of Wonder | June 20 – July 1, 2022

Is it the Greek god Zeus’ thunderbolt? Or the Norse god Thor’s hammer? Perhaps it’s just Leigong, the thunder god from Asian folklore pounding on his drums? Or Old mother Sheep from Nigerian folklore? As we wrestle with understanding our changing planet, we look to mythology and folklore to help us understand our deep connection to the awe-inspiring natural world that surrounds us. Join us for a theme that is sure to light up our imagination and be positively electric! Legends of elves, fairies, trolls and all manner of supernatural beings flood the pages of world folklore. We’ll search for the ‘hidden people’ in many lands and many cultures- perhaps encountering the iconic elves of Iceland, the mysterious El Duende (Latin America), the Flower Elves (China), the Yosei (Japan) or the Mimis (Australia) and many more. In this fascinating and fun session, we’re guaranteed to find a little mischief, mayhem and magic along the way! Astronomers continue to reveal astonishing truths about our solar system every day, but the origin stories spun long ago in cultures all over the world still leave their imprint on our imagination. Is the moon a woman or a man? Or maybe a block of cheese? Is that a Rabbit that we see or a Frog? Or where did the moon get that scar? Questions will be answered and new ones formed, as we bring to life captivating moon tales from around the world. One of our most popular camp sessions that we offer so we’ve decided to offer two! Musical Theater Camp puts a spotlight on a uniquely American art form – musical theater. Days will be filled with music and choreography from both Broadway hits, and some of Creative Cauldron’s own original musicals. Campers will also learn some of the techniques in scenic, costume and lighting design that bring these musicals to life on the stage and to share in their final show!
