Two for a Song

ONE NIGHT ONLY!  The men you know and love from THREE FOR A SONG take the stage in their own cabaret with beloved Tin Pan Alley Hits and American Songbook Standards in fresh, authentic interpretations Along with exciting new song discoveries of “lost” tunes from the golden age ‘between the [world] wars.’ Pianist, Alex Hassan, boasts an archival sheet music collection of more than 40,000 titles, thoroughly immersing himself in the musical style of the 20s and 30s. Tenor, Doug Bowles, has performed around the world in nearly every genre from Opera to Pop! The boys will be joined by special guest, David Sager.   David is an internationally known and sought after Jazz Trombonist, band leader, manager of the ’National Jukebox Project' at Library of Congress and a Crooner. Beloved tunes, exciting discoveries, a few tears, and a lot of outrageous laughter – now THAT’S a good way to spend a Saturday night!

The beautiful, bubbly, golden-haired Ms. Sandy Bainum will pay musical homage to a bevy of fellow blondes: some broads, bombshells, and a delicious diva or two. Sandy performs songs originally sung by the likes of movie and theater legends Betty Hutton, Doris Day, Barbara Cook and the blonde that all gentlemen preferred, Miss Marilyn Monroe. Sandy will be joined onstage by her award-winning musical director Lanny Meyers.
 
Ever Blondeward was directed by the beautiful (brunette) cabaret icon, Ms. Andrea Marcovicci.

Sandy Bainum: Simply

Sandy Bainum: Simply, features the wining songstress in a show based on her MAC Award-nominated CD entitled, Simply.  The show enjoyed sold out performances in Washington, DC and in Los Angeles where it won two Eddon Awards, for the “Best in Los Angeles Theater.” Simply is filled with memorable tunes from the Great American Songbook and beyond:  from the joyous “A Cockeyed Optimist” from South Pacific and the glorious “Goodnight, My Someone” from The Music Man, to the pop hit “You and Me Against the World” and the electric “On the Other Side of the Tracks” from Little Me, these are songs that exemplify timeless, straightforward sentiments and beautiful melodies with simple yet universal emotions. Whether joyous, rueful, funny or hopeful, these are musical moments filled with warmth, heart, humor and joy… simply enchanting. Sandy will be joined onstage by her award-winning musical director Lanny Meyers.

Jim Van Slyke presents "Sedaka is back!"

August 18th & 19th at 8:00 PM

Award winning singer, songwriter and recording artist Jim Van Slyke sings the songs of pop music icon Neil Sedaka! A new twist on Jim’s critically acclaimed and wildly popular Sedaka Show Jim celebrates the music of the Pop Music legend. Neil Sedaka himself exclaims “I’ve seen many singers over the years do my songs, but nobody has moved me more than Jim”.
 
Come enjoy the classics sounds of Sedaka and such treasured hits as Laughter in the rain, Calendar girl, Breaking up is hard to do, The Hungry Years and some truly wonderful surprises!
