Position Title: Box Office & Concessions Manager
Type: Part-Time (25 hours/week)
Rate: $22 Per Hour
Location: Falls Church, VA
Creative Cauldron is seeking a friendly, customer-oriented professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills for the Box Office & Concessions Manager position. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and supervise box office and concessions operations. This position oversees the Front of House team, which includes House Managers, volunteer ushers and concession volunteers.
The Box Office & Concessions Manager will set up and manage the concessions bar, train concessions volunteers, respond to box office related phone calls and emails, and provide support as needed to the House Manager on duty. While House Managers handle patron check-in, walk-in ticket sales, usher
training ushers and other Front of House responsibilities, the Box Office & Concessions Manager ensures overall coordination and operational success during performances.
General hours for the Box Office & Concessions Manager are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. However, not all productions include Thursday evening or Saturday afternoon performances, so hours will vary throughout the season based on the production schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
Box Office Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for incoming calls and emails related to tickets, show information and patron inquiries
- Provide day-of-show support to the on-duty House Manager, assisting with ticketing issues, exchanges, seating accommodations, and resolving patron concerns as needed
- Ensure patron communications and pre-show logistics align with Front of House operations
- Oversee scheduling of House Manager shifts for all performances and events
- Review and approve House Manager timesheets
- Manage and coordinate volunteer usher and concessions signups
- Set up and stock concessions bar prior to each performance
- Train concession volunteers on setup, sales procedures, and customer service
- Monitor inventory and reorder supplies as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Collect and reconcile cash receipts from the concessions bar
- Prepare sales reports following each performance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) is essential
- Experience with customer service or donor relations preferred
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and effectively with patrons of varied backgrounds, ethnicities, and socio-economic statuses
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
- Experience supervising staff or volunteers is preferred
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 20 pounds lbs
