The Gamelan Wrhatnala of Germantown troupe is composed of elegant and exquisitely costumed dancers, and musicians playing the gamelan instruments, consisting of met allophones, drums, gongs, flutes, and cymbals.
Gamelan Wrhatnala of Germantown has made trips to different cities in he United States, giving lectures, workshops, and performances at universities (Massachusetts, Ohio, Shepherd, Cornell, Towson, Princeton, Georgetown, Washington and Lee University, Salisbury State, George Washington, George Mason, Mary Mount, University of the South (Tennessee), University of Richmond, University of Evansville (Indiana), Trinity College, etc.). It has performed in different programs, i.e.: Indonesian nights (Minnesota, New York, etc.), Asian art festivals (Florida, Ohio, etc.), fund raising at the Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead, Florida, National Rehabilitation Hospital at the newly built Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC, Longvue Gardens in New Orleans, and United Nations program in the Bahamas. In the Washington, DC area it has performed in programs at the Smithsonian Institution, the Kennedy Center, Library of Congress, in local parks, schools, and community associations. It has also participated in a county cable television program in Maryland.
